The Banneya London Process
We have been working hard over the last few weeks photographing our latest collaborations and getting them ready for their big reveal. We go through this process regularly when we on-board new designers onto the Banneya-platform.
It is a delicate and intense process which starts with a conversation, a sketch or a technical drawing submitted to us by the designers we have selected. Together we go through the customisation options – which gold will we offer the pieces in? Which stones will look the strongest in the design? Can we produce each piece at a level of quality we can be proud of?
Our Head of Design, Gedi, then works his magic and transforms the initial sketch into a wonderful piece of fine jewellery for you to see when you come in to the office for a visit!
We work exclusively with precious metals and gemstones sourced from reputable dealers. Our larger stones will have all the certification necessary and their provenance will be able to be traced. All our manufacturing is performed in the UK and we work with the best goldsmiths, stone setters and polishers to produce only the highest quality products.
Once the samples have passed quality control and we are satisfied that they are of the utmost quality, we send them to our imagery team who will take the amazing pictures you can see on our site. Once again we use technology to create the incredible array of products for you to choose from. We use live imagery, rendering and photo-editing to show real-life quality images of the pieces we sell on the site. Working with the super talented Phoebe Hollins (@iampheephee), our Art Director, and the amazing Becky Westcott (@rebecca_wescott), our Photographer, who count Fendi, Chanel and Net-a-Porter as their clients, ensures that our imagery is gorgeous and gives you the confidence of knowing what each piece will look like on!
Working with such talented people and beautiful products is a real pleasure and I go to work with a spring in my step! I have been so taken by the world of jewellery that I have become a Gemological Institute of America alumna and have taken courses on Diamonds and Coloured Stones. In a few weeks I will share with you the beautiful world of gemstones so please come back and read our next few blog posts.
We would love to show your our pieces next time you are in town, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org to book a time and a central London location that suits you.
Hope to see you soon
